be mounted simultaneously, with one temporarily relabelled to
avoid conflict.

GETNAME: Object file for program.
User Instructions
Allows two volumes with the same name to be mounted at the
same time by temporarily renaming one of them. To use, enter
the device number at the VOLNAM screen and press (RETURN).
The program then asks for a new volume name; enter this name
and press PF(01) to rename the volume. GETNAME can also be
used to reverse the temporary name.
Programmer Instructions
Both screens used in GETNAME are GETPARM screens, so the
utility can be controlled from a program or procedure.
DEVICE Press (RETURN) to continue or PF(16) to end
program.
DEVICE (blank) The device number of the disk drive.
VOLNAM Enter new volume name and press PF(01) to rename
volume or PF(16) to exit program.
VOLUME (blank) The new name for the volume.
Example of use
Of use whenever disks that have been named the same must be
mounted simultaneously, either as a result of a system
problem requiring a prior disk copy to be mounted or as a
part of a backup scheme where the new copy of becomes the
production disk and must be renamed. Similar in purpose and
operation to FVN (Fix Volume Name).
